Handstorm

An augmented reality musical instrument that allows users to manipulate the familiar sound of a raging thunderstorm. I designed tracking gloves that, when worn, activate the soundscape. Like a conductor, or Mickey in Fantasia, the user gesticulates and progressively gains control over the maelstrom. After a while, the sound dissipates to a ringing sine wave, like the resulting tinnitus from a loud rock concert, signaling the end of the storm.
